Last week a group of us met to hear Fulbright scholar-in-residence Rula Quawas present on Woman at Point Zero, a novel by Egyptian writer Nawal El Saadawi that she is teaching in her COR 330: Arab Women Writers class. It was quite a treat, and we thank Rula for sharing her insights with us!
Because a number of people indicated that they were not able to meet at the chosen time, we’ve scheduled a second brown bag discussion on the same topic. Please feel free to join Rula on Friday, October 18th from 12:30-1:30PM in the Morgan Room. Bring your lunch; dessert will be provided.
There are a couple of copies of the novel in the Core Division office if you’d like one.
Rula is a passionate, engaging presenter, and she guided us on a fascinating journey through the mind and experiences of the protagonist. If you make the time to come, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
