This Friday is “National Coming Out Day”, and October is LGBTQ History Month, amongst many others (Disability Awareness Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Sept/Oct. Hispanic Awareness).
Please join our student LGBTQ group; INCLUDE, this Friday in honoring and recognizing LGBTQ movements, socio-political changes, and LGBTQ historical icons as we celebrate “National Coming Out Day”. “Coming Out” is an experience that is on-going for many people, and each person’s experience is unique to their histories, racial and gender identities, and other demographic contexts. Let’s come together on Friday to honor all of our stories.
INCLUDE is tabling tomorrow (October 11th) outside of the Dining Hall (Atrium) between 9:30am-3pm. Please come by and be part of an important day for many of our students at Champlain.
Happy “Coming Out Day”!
