Champlain College is honored to host a Heritage Edition of the Saint John’s Bible, the first hand-written and hand-illuminated Bible commissioned by Benedictine monks since medieval times. A truly interdisciplinary work of art and sacred scripture, the Saint John’s Bible unites ancient Benedictine tradition with modern vision for a new millennium.
Please join us as we inaugurate our yearlong celebration with brief remarks and a multi-denominational blessing, to be followed by light refreshments.
Feel free to share this invitation with members of your faith community.
We will be hosting a yearlong series of events celebrating tradition and innovation and inspired by the Saint John’s Bible.
This programming is sponsored by Champlain Chautauqua (made possible by a parent gift), the Core Division, the Division of Communication and Creative Media, the Office of the President and Provost, and Miller Information Commons.
