INAUGURAL FACULTY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM RECIPIENTS

The vision and mission of the Faculty Professional Development Committee at Champlain College is to nurture the faculty’s growth as individuals, teachers, practitioners, and community members by creating opportunities that “foster innovative and integrative approaches to pedagogy and scholarship in all its forms.” In an effort to support this objective, a pilot Faculty Professional Fellowship Program, funded by the Provost’s Office, to support contributions to the knowledge of the teaching profession was approved to run fall 2015, spring 2016 and fall 2016.  The program provides a one-course release for faculty members from their required teaching load to allow time for the faculty member to pursue long-term projects that contribute to the knowledge of the teaching profession.  These projects would contribute to the broader intellectual community on campus and in local, national, and international venues

Congratulations to Brian Hall and Melanie Brown, our first two recipients.
